1.1. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Stepli, available through stepli.io, app.stepli.io and related services ("Stepli" or the "Service").
1.2. The Service is provided by Bewort sp. z o.o., ul. Ostrobramska 101, 04-041 Warsaw, Poland, registered in the National Court Register under KRS 0001040927, NIP 1133098599 ("Bewort", "we", "us" or "our").
1.3. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between Bewort and the business or organisation on whose behalf the Service is used ("Customer").
1.4. The Service is offered exclusively for business and professional purposes. It is not intended for consumers. By accepting these Terms, the person accepting them represents that they:
- act in connection with a business, profession or organisation;
- are authorised to bind the Customer to these Terms; and
- will use Stepli only for business purposes.
2. Acceptance and Contract Formation
2.1. Before first using the Service, each user must complete Stepli's acceptance screen and affirmatively select both required checkboxes confirming that:
- the user agrees to these Terms and the Data Processing Agreement; and
- the user is authorised to accept them on behalf of the Customer and will use Stepli for business purposes.
2.2. The Privacy Policy is provided for information and transparency. Acceptance of the Privacy Policy is not requested as consent to the processing of personal data.
2.3. Bewort records acceptance information, including the document versions accepted, the timestamp, the IP address and the user agent. The Customer agrees that these electronic records may be used as evidence of acceptance.
2.4. Each accepted version of these Terms and of the Data Processing Agreement is kept unchanged at a permanent address on stepli.io, so that the Customer can save or print the exact text it accepted.
2.5. The Data Processing Agreement forms an integral part of these Terms and is incorporated by reference.
3. The Service

3.3. Bewort does not guarantee that any job posting, contact information, email address, AI-generated content, classification, enrichment result or other information available through the Service is complete, current or error-free.
4. Customer Accounts
4.1. The Customer is responsible for all activity performed through its account and by its authorised users.
4.2. The Customer must keep account credentials secure and must not share individual user accounts.
4.3. The Customer must promptly notify Bewort at legal@stepli.io if it becomes aware of unauthorised access to its account.
4.4. The Customer is responsible for ensuring that its users comply with these Terms.
5. Mailbox Connections
5.1. The Customer may connect supported Gmail and Microsoft 365 or Outlook mailboxes to Stepli.
5.2. The Customer represents that it is authorised to connect each mailbox and to permit Stepli to access and process information through that mailbox.
5.3. Stepli may use authorised mailbox access to send Customer-configured messages and to retrieve replies and related mailbox information necessary to provide the Service.
5.4. The Customer is responsible for its mailbox provider account, permissions, security policies and compliance with the applicable provider terms.
5.5. Bewort may limit or disable mailbox functionality where necessary to protect the Service, comply with provider requirements, prevent abuse or reduce legal or security risk.
6. Outreach Compliance
6.1. The Customer is solely responsible for determining whether it may lawfully contact a particular recipient and for the content, recipients, timing and legal basis of its outreach.
6.2. The Customer must comply with all laws and regulations applicable to its communications, including data protection, privacy, electronic communications, direct marketing, anti-spam and unfair commercial practices laws, such as the GDPR, applicable ePrivacy rules, CAN-SPAM where applicable, and national electronic communications laws.
6.3. Where prior consent or another specific permission is required before sending a communication, the Customer is responsible for obtaining and documenting that permission before using Stepli to send the communication.
6.4. The Customer must include an appropriate and effective way for recipients to opt out of its outreach where required by applicable law or where otherwise appropriate.
6.5. The Customer must promptly honour opt-outs, objections, withdrawals of consent and other legally valid requests relating to its outreach.
6.6. Stepli may prevent messages from being sent to addresses that have opted out of the Customer's outreach, and may remove from the Service any person who has objected to Bewort's own processing of their data. The Customer must not attempt to circumvent these controls.
6.7. The availability of contact information through Stepli does not confirm that contacting that person is lawful.
7. Customer Data and GDPR Roles
7.1. For Customer account, contractual and billing information, Bewort acts as controller.
7.2. For business contact information independently sourced and maintained by Stepli, Bewort acts as controller. If the Customer decides to use such information for its own outreach, the Customer acts as a separate and independent controller for that outreach.
7.3. For personal data supplied, generated or stored by the Customer within Stepli, including candidate CVs and profiles, mailbox content and replies, manually added contacts and CRM notes ("Customer Data"), the Customer acts as controller and Bewort acts as processor.
7.4. Processing under Section 7.3 is governed by the Data Processing Agreement incorporated into these Terms.
7.5. The Customer is solely responsible for establishing and maintaining a valid legal basis for personal data it uploads, imports, creates or otherwise makes available to Stepli, and for providing all notices and obtaining all permissions required by applicable law in relation to that data.
7.6. Bewort grants the Customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the business contact information made available through Stepli, including information exported from the Service, solely for the Customer's own business development during its subscription.
7.7. The Customer must not sell, license, publish or otherwise disclose that information to third parties, or include it in a database or service offered to others.
7.8. For copies of business contact information that the Customer exports from the Service, the Customer is responsible as an independent controller for keeping them secure, honouring opt-outs and objections, providing the information required by Article 14 of the GDPR at the latest at its first communication with the person concerned, and deleting them when they are no longer needed for that purpose, and in any event within 30 days after its subscription ends, unless the law requires the Customer to keep them longer.
7.9. Bewort keeps a record of exports. Where a person asks Bewort to erase their data or objects to its processing, Bewort may inform each Customer that exported that person's data, and the Customer must delete that person's data or stop processing it, as the request requires, within 30 days of the notice.
8. AI Features
8.1. Stepli uses artificial intelligence services to draft communications, classify and summarise replies, and process CV information.
8.2. AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate or misleading.
8.3. AI-generated email content is provided as a draft. The Customer is responsible for reviewing content before sending it.
8.4. The Customer must not rely on AI output as legal, financial, employment or other professional advice, and remains responsible for decisions and actions taken using it.
8.5. Stepli does not make decisions about individuals that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect them. AI features support decisions taken by the Customer's users.
9. Acceptable Use
9.1. The Customer must not use Stepli:
- for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive or discriminatory purposes;
- to send spam or communications prohibited by applicable law;
- to harass individuals;
- to circumvent opt-outs or contact restrictions;
- to upload data that the Customer has no right to process;
- to introduce malware or interfere with the Service;
- to gain unauthorised access to Stepli or third-party systems;
- to reverse engineer the Service, except where such a restriction is prohibited by mandatory law;
- to resell or provide access to Stepli to third parties without Bewort's written permission;
- to scrape, harvest or systematically copy data from the Service other than through the export features the Service provides;
- to build, train or improve a competing product or database using the Service or data obtained from it;
- to circumvent usage limits, quotas or other technical restrictions of the Service; or
- in a manner that creates material legal, security, reputational or operational risk for Bewort or third parties.
10. Fees, Billing and Renewal
10.1. Stepli is a paid service. Current standard plans are Pro at USD 249 per month, Business at USD 599 per month, and Enterprise with pricing on request.
10.2. Applicable pricing, billing periods, usage limits and features are shown at purchase or agreed separately with the Customer.
10.3. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor.
10.4. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods equal to the initial billing period until cancelled.
10.5. The Customer authorises recurring charges to the payment method associated with its account.
10.6. Except where mandatory law requires otherwise, fees already paid are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods, unused capacity, account suspension or Customer cancellation.
10.7. Bewort may change pricing for future renewal periods by giving reasonable prior notice.
10.8. Taxes, duties and similar governmental charges are the Customer's responsibility, except taxes imposed on Bewort's income.
10.9. Disputing a valid charge with a bank or payment provider, removing a payment method or stopping use of the Service does not cancel the subscription. A subscription is cancelled only as described in Section 11.3.
11. Suspension, Cancellation and Termination
11.1. Bewort may suspend or restrict the Service immediately where it reasonably believes that:
- the Customer is sending or facilitating spam or unlawful communications;
- the Customer has violated these Terms;
- payment is overdue;
- the Customer's use creates security, deliverability, reputational, provider or legal risk;
- suspension is required by law, a competent authority or a relevant service provider; or
- continued operation could materially harm Bewort, the Service, another customer or a third party.
11.2. Bewort may terminate the agreement for material breach if the breach is incapable of remedy or is not remedied within a reasonable period after notice.
11.3. The Customer may cancel its subscription at any time through the billing portal available in the Service. Cancellation prevents future renewal; access continues until the end of the paid billing period, and no refund is due for that period.
11.4. Suspension does not relieve the Customer of the obligation to pay fees for the current billing period.
11.5. After a subscription ends, Bewort keeps Customer Data for up to 12 months so that the account can be reactivated, and then deletes it, unless the law requires longer storage. The Customer may ask for earlier deletion at legal@stepli.io; Bewort will then delete Customer Data within 30 days of the request. Copies in backups expire within 7 days after deletion.
12. Intellectual Property
12.1. Bewort and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in Stepli, including software, interfaces, databases, algorithms, documentation, branding and improvements.
12.2. Subject to payment of applicable fees and compliance with these Terms, Bewort grants the Customer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Stepli during the subscription period for its internal business purposes.
12.3. The Customer retains its rights in Customer Data.
12.4. The Customer grants Bewort the rights necessary to host, process, transmit and otherwise use Customer Data solely as necessary to provide, secure and maintain the Service and to comply with law.
12.5. Bewort may use suggestions and feedback about Stepli without restriction or obligation to the Customer.
12.6. Bewort may create and use aggregated, anonymised statistics about the use of the Service that do not identify the Customer or any individual.
13. Third-Party Services
13.1. Stepli depends on third-party infrastructure, APIs and services.
13.2. Bewort is not responsible for interruptions, restrictions or changes caused by third-party services outside Bewort's reasonable control.
13.3. Integrations may stop functioning if a third party changes its APIs, policies, permissions or technical requirements.
14. Confidentiality
14.1. Each party must protect confidential information received from the other party using reasonable care, and may use it only to perform or receive the Service.
14.2. Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that is public without breach, independently developed, lawfully obtained from another source, or required to be disclosed by law.
15. Security
15.1. Bewort implements appropriate technical and organisational measures taking into account the nature of the processing and the associated risks.
15.2. No online service can guarantee absolute security. The Customer remains responsible for appropriate account security and access management within its organisation.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties
16.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stepli is provided "as is" and "as available".
16.2. Bewort does not warrant that:
- the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free;
- third-party data is accurate or complete;
- email addresses will remain valid;
- communications will be delivered or receive responses;
- AI output will be accurate;
- use of particular data or outreach will be lawful in the Customer's circumstances; or
- use of Stepli will generate any particular commercial result.
17. Indemnification
17.1. The Customer will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Bewort, its officers, employees and contractors from third-party claims, proceedings, losses, damages, penalties, fines, costs and reasonable legal expenses arising from or relating to:
- the Customer's outreach or communications;
- Customer Data;
- the Customer's failure to establish a lawful basis for processing;
- a breach of privacy, data protection, electronic communications, direct marketing or anti-spam laws by the Customer;
- the Customer's violation of these Terms; or
- infringement of third-party rights by Customer Data or Customer instructions.
17.2. The Customer's obligations under this Section do not apply to the extent that a claim results from Bewort's breach of these Terms or the Data Processing Agreement, or from Bewort's negligence.
17.3. This Section applies to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
18. Limitation of Liability
18.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bewort will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, or loss or corruption of data.
18.2. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bewort's total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service, these Terms and the Data Processing Agreement will not exceed the total fees actually paid by the Customer to Bewort during the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. This is a single limit for all claims together, including claims under the Data Processing Agreement, and not a separate limit for each claim.
18.3. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability to the extent that such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
19. Changes to the Service and Terms
19.1. Bewort may update the Service and these Terms.
19.2. Where a change to these Terms or the Data Processing Agreement is material, Stepli will require users to accept the updated version before continuing to use the Service. Acceptance is recorded as described in Section 2.
20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
20.1. These Terms and the contractual relationship between Bewort and the Customer are governed by Polish law.
20.2. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the courts having jurisdiction over Warsaw, Poland have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service.
21. General
21.1. If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective.
21.2. Failure to enforce a provision does not constitute a waiver.
21.3. The Customer may not assign this agreement without Bewort's prior written consent. Bewort may assign the agreement in connection with a corporate reorganisation, merger, or sale of its business or substantially all relevant assets.
21.4. These Terms, the Data Processing Agreement and any applicable order form constitute the entire agreement between the parties concerning the Service and supersede prior agreements on the same subject matter.
22. Contact
